Responsible to Bakehouse Production Manager 

This role requires the preparation of ingredients, supports production of various bakery items, decorating and finishing and packaging & labelling of bakery products and & helps prepare products ready to dispatch to our stores. 

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Weighing ingredients, preparing mixes, fillings, icing, toppings 

• Lining trays and preparing tins 

• Dough scaling and shaping 

• Assisting bakers during production 

• Icing cakes, decorating traybakes, chocolate finishing 

• Filling pastries 

• Cutting, portioning and packing bakery items 

• Ensure correct labelling of products (ingredients, allergens, dates) 

• Quality checking finished items 

• Prepares products ready for dispatch, order picking for each location 

• Organising dispatch and ensuring timely distribution 

• Stock rotation and basic stock handling 

Essential 

• Experience in a food production or kitchen environment  

• Good attention to detail, especially with labelling and allergens  

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active role  

• Strong organisational and time management skills  

• Ability to follow instructions and processes accurately  

• Reliable, punctual, and fulfil required working hours  

• Good teamwork and communication skills 

Desirable 

• Previous bakery or food manufacturing experience  

• Basic food hygiene knowledge (e.g. Level 2 Food Safety)  

• Experience with packing, labelling, or dispatch processes 

• Confidence with portioning and finishing baked goods  

• Understanding of stock rotation (FIFO)  

•  Interest in baking or food production
