The Koda 12 is an Ooni gas pizza oven known for getting warmed up and cooking pizza in a very, very short time. The Koda 12 reaches 500 °C (950 °F) in only 15 minutes and can cook a stone-baked 12” pizza in 60 seconds! A pizza oven this efficient cannot be found anywhere else. Another great asset of the Ooni Koda 12 is its compact size and agreeable weight; a Koda 12 will fit in any outdoor space and weighs less than 10 kilos (a little over 20 lbs), meaning it can quickly be taken anywhere.

Ooni Koda 16

Introducing the Ooni Koda 16: the upgraded version of the Koda 12. The 16 comes with more space, multiple fuel options, more fuel-efficient air flow, increased oven insulation and better visibility. How to light an Ooni pizza oven?

How you should light your Ooni oven depends on whether you want to use gas or Ooni wood pellets. If unsure, check out our various fuel options. If you’re planning on using gas for your Ooni pizza oven:

  • Make sure that your gas tank is securely plugged onto your Ooni oven and turned open.
  • Place the pizza stone inside the oven unit and let it heat up for a few minutes. Make sure to put the pizza stone in before heating your oven, as it could crack if exposed to a difference in temperature too big.
  • Close the oven door and set the temperature knob to the desired heat. Once the oven reaches the desired temperature, you can put your pizza in the oven and bake it.
Ooni pellets are just as easy to use. Ensure your oven’s chimney is uncapped and the vent is open. Simply scoop up a generous amount of pellets in your oven’s fuel tray and add a fire lighter. Make a flame before shoving the fuel tray back in and wait a few minutes for the pellets to catch fire. Keep track of the inside temperature using an Ooni thermometer, so you know when your Ooni pizza oven is all set.
